Editor's Note
Onat, one of the founding chair professors and deans of ITU's first faculty of architecture, won first place together with Orhan Arda in the Anıtkabir design competition launched in 1941. He held membership number one in the Chamber of Architects. The villa was designed in Art Deco style in 1939 and took two years to build. Today there is a residence in its back garden, while its front garden is used by Yapı Kredi Bank.
