The mansion was built by Nikola Voridis. Hasan Rıza Temelli, the brother of İsmet İnönü, lived here as a tenant for 14 years (1926-1940). Atatürk is said to have stayed in this house for a short while during his visits to the island. The architect of the mansion was Periklis D. Fotiadis.
