Koca Yusuf Paşa Sebili ve Çeşmesi

Editor's Note

Built in 1786 (AH 1201). This public fountain (sebil), located on a terrace front along Meclis-i Mebusan Avenue at Kabataş, was at one point moved from its original site to the front of the portico of the Molla Çelebi Mosque in Fındıklı, then in 1956 removed from there as well and brought to its present location. In building this sebil a layout was used that has no other parallel: a fountain was placed exactly in the centre, with a two-windowed sebil set on either side of it.
