Editor's Note
This mosque-lodge, built for the Halveti order with the money bequeathed by Perizad Hatun, was constructed in the garden of the Fındıklı palace of her husband Arap Ahmed Paşa. The visual evidence suggests that Perizad Hatun's lodge stood in the garden of Arap Ahmed Paşa's waterside mansion at Fındıklı. On the street-facing side of the plot of Arap Ahmed Paşa's palace stood the mosque-tevhidhane, the Arap Ahmet Paşa Tomb (where Perizad Hatun is also buried), a burial ground around the tomb, the Tomb of Keşfi Cafer Efendi (d. 1643), a fountain, and a school above it.
