Editor's Note
The Column of Leo was a 5th-century Roman honorific column in Constantinople. It was built for Leo I, Augustus of the East from 457 to 474, and stood in the Forum of Leo, also known as the Pittakia. It was an unfluted marble column made of drums with a Corinthian capital, surmounted by a statue of the emperor. These remains are fragments belonging to that column.
