It lies within the boundaries of the Cankurtaran neighbourhood in the Fatih district of Istanbul. On the area drawn as the Botanical Garden on the Ayverdi map, while digging on 19 December 1894 to build a latrine for the Imperial Medical School, fragments of earthenware jars, old coins, one carved marble column capital and two small stone columns were uncovered.
