The Palace of Venice in Beyoğlu is a historic property that served from the early 16th century to the late 1930s as the seat of the diplomatic missions of, successively, the Republic of Venice, the French Empire, the Habsburg monarchy and the Kingdom of Italy to the Ottoman Empire. Long the residence of the Venetian bailo (ambassador), it today serves as the residence of the Italian Consul-General in Istanbul.
