Reached by descending a flight of steps, the church is connected through the surrounding lodging buildings to the Santa Maria Han on the street above. Its architect was G. Semprini. Inside, fourteen ceramic panels are arranged along the right and left walls. These are Via Crucis panels depicting Jesus's fourteen-station journey from the moment he was condemned to the cross. They were made in 1959 by Father Alberto Farina. The scenes are drawn from the Gospels and the Old Testament.
