Editor's Note

Now part of the İELEV Private Schools complex, this hammam is the sole surviving element of a külliye endowed by Nevşehirli Damat İbrahim Paşa during the reign of Sultan Ahmed III. The hot room of the bath has been entirely demolished, its marble-paved floor left in very poor condition, and the section turned into a courtyard. In 1986 the building was converted into a business han, and only the large domed disrobing chamber was preserved within the new structure.
