Terzioğlu Halı Mağazası Altındaki Roma Villası

Beneath the Terzioğlu Carpet Store on Peykhane Street lie the remains of a Roman villa. The building housing these remains is a 20th-century structure, and the design of its interior was conceived with the aim of protecting the villa remains below. The area with the remains has thus been both preserved and put to use as a dining hall. Because of the archaeological objects displayed inside, the place is reminiscent of a miniature museum.
