Editor's Note
It was built over the entire island between Kemankeş Street and the sea. It was constructed in 1910 by the Dersaadet Quay, Dock and Warehouse Company; its architect is unknown. In the early 1900s the site on which the building stands held a café, a restaurant and timber depots.
