Editor's Note
The pier in front of the old dungeon gate was named after the goods bought and sold here. The fruit customs house was also located here, and there were greengrocers in the back streets as well. During the "shoreline clearing" operations of the 1980s, the last remaining part of the Yemiş Pier was also demolished.
