Tersane-i Amire, today known as the Golden Horn Shipyards (Haliç Tersaneleri), is the shipyard complex stretching from Kasımpaşa toward Hasköy and comprising the Haliç, Camialtı and Taşkızak shipyards. It was founded by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror in 1455 and was the largest shipyard of its time.
