Editor's Note
The Tayyare Apartments, also known as the Harikzedegan Apartments, are a complex of four buildings in Istanbul's Laleli district, designed by architect Mimar Kemaleddin and completed in 1922. Originally built as public housing for victims of a great fire, they were later converted into hotel premises and today operate as a five-star hotel.
