Editor's Note
This is a cistern ruin located across from the Yayla Mosque Cistern, east of Sofular Avenue. It is said that the cistern's plan is partly identified as the cistern numbered D 6/3 shown by Müller-Wiener. The cistern's remains have been preserved today to a height of about 5 m in the back gardens of three apartment buildings facing the avenue. Considering the cistern's construction techniques, it is thought to date to the Middle Byzantine period. 1
