It was the tenth rüşdiye (junior secondary) school opened during the post-Tanzimat period of reorganization, and it began operating in 1272 AH / 1855-1856 CE. 1 On the left-hand side of the road at the Boyacıkapı exit of the Fatih Mosque, where one turns from Darüşşafaka Avenue onto Başmüezzin Street, the former Fatih Central Rüşdiye stood within the area of the building at Nos. 2-4 and 26A and in the middle of the street. This middle school also had four primary classes, and the school had 738 students.
