Editor's Note
During the Republican era, instruction continued in rented wooden mansions. For example, after the Aksaray fire, the school was moved to a wooden mansion near the Kızılminare Mosque in Horhor, and then to the mansion of İsmet Bey, east of our present school. Operating as Mahmudiye Primary School until 1924-1925, the school was transferred to the Directorate of National Education starting in the 1925-1926 school year and was renamed the 45th Primary School. In the 1936-1937 school year it moved as a guest into the Hekimoğlu Ali Paşa School and remained there until the 1937-1938 school year.
