Editor's Note
Its founder was Tepedelenli Ali Pasha. The lodge opened in 1191/1781-82. Its first head sheikh was Mehmed Sıdkî Efendi (in office 1244/1828-29), a deputy of Mustafa Celâleddin Efendi who was known by the epithet 'Ejder' (Dragon). He was followed in the office of head sheikh by his son Sheikh Ali Rızâ Efendi (in office 1277/1860-61), then Sheikh Feyzullah Efendi (in office 1293/1876-77), and finally His Holiness Sheikh Hakkı Efendi.
