Editor's Note
Hasan Paşa Primary School has a deep-rooted history of 108 years. It began offering education in 1901 as a two-classroom "Nation School" built by Grand Admiral Hasan Pasha. However, as a result of the rapidly growing population, Hasan Pasha's son Mahmut Bey added five more classrooms to the same building to keep the school running. In 1960, when Hasan Pasha's daughter-in-law donated the present plot to the Ministry of National Education, the ministry in 1966 had a new eight-classroom building with central heating constructed next to the old one. From 1966 to 2008, educational services were planned and carried out in this building.
