Editor's Note
The mansion's first owner was Levon Demircibaşyan, Chief Accountant of the Ottoman Public Debt Administration, after whom ownership passed to the Kalemkaryan family. It was later purchased by Eleni Menegakis in 1937, and in 1957 it was sold to its present owner, Emine Nerime Erman. The mansion was once known by the name "Villa Sans Souci."
