Editor's Note
The villa's first registered owner was Mrs. Mannik Ojeni (1915). Next to the villa stood the 'Mehtap Cinema,' which occupied a fairly large area extending up to the Splendid Hotel. The cinema remained in operation until 1962. In this villa belonging to the Alalemciyan family, serious musical matinees were held for many years (every Saturday and Sunday) under the direction of Harutyan Sinanyan. Every member of the family was a musician. The villa is notable for the wall and ceiling decorations in its rooms and for its antiques.
