Splendid Palas is a historic building in Prince Islands, İstanbul; On the site of the Giacomo Hotel, which burned down in 1905, it was built in 1908 by Marshal Sakızlı Kazım Pasha, commissioned to the master builder Kaludi Laskaris.

Editor's Note
On the site of the Giacomo Hotel, which burned down in 1905, it was built in 1908 by Marshal Sakızlı Kazım Pasha, commissioned to the master builder Kaludi Laskaris. Its name was inspired by the Splendid Hotel in Cannes, France. During the years of occupation it was used by the British, and later Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Maria Callas also stayed there.
