Editor's Note
It was built in 1595 by Yusuf Ağa, the sword-bearer of Murad III. The chronogram couplet reads: 'His wish is that whoever drinks here may say, May God make his soul joyful.' AH 1004 (1595 CE). It was repaired in 1826 by Mustafa Kani Bey, and in 1896 Arif Osman Bey rendered the structure unusable.
