Editor's Note
Dating to the 18th century, the cistern was built during the reign of Sultan Ahmed III to supply water to the Sadabad Palaces. The structure, found to cover an area of roughly 200 square meters, stands nearly 7 meters high. Its restoration by the Kağıthane district municipality was completed as of 2022, and it has been repurposed as a venue to host cultural events.
