Editor's Note
Ödön Széchenyi, son of the great Hungarian leader István Széchenyi and the founder of the first modern fire brigade in Istanbul, is buried in this cemetery. The cemetery also contains a memorial inscription for the Hungarian soldiers who died in the Battle of Gallipoli. The grave of Jozsef Ürmenyhazi, a pioneer of hat manufacturing, is also located here.
