Editor's Note
Begun in 1929–30 and located in Nişantaşı across from the Governor's Residence, the Sümer and Marmara Apartments bear the signature of Rafael Alguadiş. Both buildings feature murals by Nikolay Kalmikoff in their entrance halls.
