Nazar Patisserie was founded in 1946 by Haralambos Dados in the Kurtuluş district. Bahattin Boğaz, who started out as an apprentice at the patisserie, took over the reins from his master Haralambos Dados and carried on the work. At this patisserie, which has been the subject of books, the profiterole in particular reached its present recipe after many years and much effort. Known also for his identity as a sportsman, Bahattin Boğaz, as the desserts he made spread by word of mouth and gained fame, was invited to lectures at universities, to television programmes and to events in many fields.
