Editor's Note
The Maçka Arsenal is a military building commissioned by Sultan Abdülaziz between 1873 and 1875 to store Martini-Henry rifles imported from the United States. In 1955 it was allocated to Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), and today it serves as the main building of the Maçka Campus, housing the School of Foreign Languages.
