Editor's Note
The club building was designed and built in 1896 by Nikolaos G. Parlos. It is one of Istanbul's oldest sports clubs. Some of the athletes who came up through this club competed and won medals at the 1906 Intercalated Games in Athens and in other international contests. Built in the neoclassical style, the building's façade displays the features of the Tuscan Doric order.
