Editor's Note
This is a historic five-storey apartment building. Its façade is richly decorated with an Art Nouveau ornamental scheme. On 2 April 1943, in the Belvü Apartment, a young man named Misak Keseryan, the son of the building's caretaker, shot and killed his friend Kamer Nerses Merian in the back of the neck in the building's boiler room. Misak Keseryan was executed by hanging in Sultanahmet Square on 29 January 1947. (Source: Istanbul Encyclopaedia)
