Editor's Note
Date of construction: AH 1001 / AD 1592-1593. Its inscription: 'The mute aga named Süleyman, abashed by his own nature; fitting it is that water and fire should mingle. When this fountain was built, Fedâyî gave its date: the pure water of Selsebil and the heart-pleasing fountain.'
