This mosque, all trace of which has now completely vanished, was built by Câzim b. İsa, one of the tutors of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror; the spot known as the Eski Odalar (Old Quarters) was formerly known as the 'Müte'ehhilîn Quarters' (Quarters of the Married). The founder, Câzim Efendi, died in 1546 and was buried in the cemetery of the Kemal Paşa Mosque in Aksaray. Mustafa Koç, Revnakoğlu's Istanbul, vol. 3, Istanbul 2021.
