It stood in Şehremini, at the corner of Tatlıpınar Avenue and Baruthâne Street. The mosque was commissioned in 1596 by the Çavuşbaşı Yavaşça Mehmed Efendi. As a result of work carried out by İSTED since 2012, the structure was registered on the empty site.
