Editor's Note
The school is a building constructed in 1895 for the officials and workers of the Oriental Railways administration (the Sirkeci-Halkalı line), which was then run by the Austrians. The building is two storeys and consists of three large and six small rooms. It covers an area of 225 square metres. In the years after the building was constructed, it first served foreign-national students under the name German School, and later, after the Oriental Railways operation was transferred to the French, under the name French School.
