Editor's Note
The İskender Ağa Mosque was commissioned in the 16th century by İskender Ağa, one of the Yayabaşıs (infantry commanders). Its endowment is dated AH 945 (1538). Damaged by a fire, the mosque was completely rebuilt in 1963.
