Editor's Note
Founded by Şeyh Ahmed Remzi Efendi (d. 1688-89), known as Peyk Dede, one of the successors of Hasan Sezâî-yi Gülşenî, a great representative of the Gülşeni order, the lodge took on a Gülşeni character. Although it later passed to the Kadiriyye and Sünbüliyye orders, it was always known as the Peyk Dede Lodge. Of the lodge, founded in 1803, nothing but its cemetery remains.
