Only part of the school's walls survive today. An inspector's report dated 1912-14 describes the school as follows: the Hamza Bali / Ağaçkakan School, in Fatih - Yeniçeşme, in good order. Built of masonry, it has 6 pupils and 1 teacher. It consists of a classroom, a teacher's room, and three adjoining rooms. It also has a caretaker's lodging.
