Editor's Note
Around 288 Ottoman-era gravestones have been identified in this cemetery in Topkapı. While the oldest is a headstone dated 1566-1567, the others belong to the 18th-19th centuries and the early 20th century. Owing to the ring-road works, the cemetery was divided into four sections.
