Editor's Note

Although no concrete information about the history of the guardhouse building has been found, based on its construction technique, style and material characteristics it is thought to have been built in the mid-19th century. The structure was restored in 2018 and today serves as the Zeytinburnu Municipal Police (Zabita) Guardhouse.
