Editor's Note
In the cemetery behind the Old Kozlu Cemetery and next to the Dedeler Cemetery, which also contains the mortuary (gasilhane), 424 Ottoman-era gravestones have been identified. Most of the gravestones were gathered and brought here from spots cleared for new graves in the surrounding cemeteries, and the oldest stone dates to 1705-1706. 1 1 Great History of Istanbul, Historic Muslim Cemeteries, vol. 5, IBB Kultur A.S., 2015.
