In 1905 and 1906, five clinical buildings for tuberculosis patients were built by Aleksandra Pandoleondos, Theodoros Mavrogordatos and Ioanna Skilitsi. These structures formed the nucleus of the hospital. In 1950, after a road was opened between it and the Greek Hospital, it was rented by the Ministry of Health and became the Yedikule Tuberculosis Hospital, and in 1980 it was converted into the Chest Diseases Hospital.
