Editor's Note

Built by the French in 1884, the building opened as the Sisters' School attached to the Church of St. George, and after a while it became a Greek secondary school. By 1928 it was serving as the central secondary school for the Bakirkoy, Yesilkoy and Yesilyurt districts, a function it continued until 1968. In 1991 it was bought by Tarik Akan and turned into a school; today it is the main branch of the Ozel Tas Primary School.
