Editor's Note
Date of construction: AH 1010 / AD 1601-1602. Patron: Saban Aga. The fountain and mosque commissioned by Saban Aga were renewed in 1292 (1875-1876), most likely by Sultan Abdulaziz. Its inscription sits between two cornices set on two columns that rise from the sides of its trough, which lies below road level. A tap has been fitted to the inward-facing part of the fountain's left column.
