Editor's Note
It lies in the Nişancı neighborhood, just west of the ring road, between the Otakçılar Mosque and the Aşçıbaşı Mosque. After the Edirnekapı Cemetery, it is the second cemetery with the greatest number of Ottoman gravestones. The reason for this, however, is that the gravestones were brought here on account of the ring road construction. Indeed, these stones are arranged in neat rows. Most date from after the mid-18th century, and the earliest gravestone is dated 1570.
