Editor's Note
Run by the Akmanoğlu family since 1883, the bakery has operated in the same building since 1917. The renovation inscription dated 14 May 1916, found on the shelves in the section of the bakery where bread is sold, reads: The Hâlidîye bakery of Hacı Salihzâde Mustafa Efendi of Yazı village in Safranbolu and Akmanzâde Mustafa Efendi of Sakarlık village. 1 May 1332 (Rumi calendar)
