The mosque is in Eyüp, near the İdris pavilion, close to the Gümüşsuyu Fountain, near the place formerly called Havuzbaşı, where the Eyüp-Gümüşsuyu road meets Hüsam Efendi Street, on the left side of the street. The road shown as Hüsam Efendi Street in the 1934 city guide is a very steep footpath. This area was famous as Bağlar Mevkii (the Vineyards). The mosque was established on a very wide, sloping piece of land. From its upper side it extends as far as the İdrisköşkü Police Station, that is, to Gümüş Çıkmaz (Silver Dead End) Street.
