Built in 1730 (AH 1143). On the fountain's pediment, within an oval medallion, the Quranic verse "And from water We made every living thing" is composed in thuluth calligraphy. The inscription reads: Of noble fame and pure of conduct, Âdile Sultan, from whose hand benefaction flows to every side like water without end; out of love for the Martyr of Karbala she had this fountain built, the like of which her peer has never seen.
