The Tanır inscription is a Hittite-era rock inscription written in Luwian, located at the Yukarı Boğaz site in the town of Tanır, Afşin district of Kahramanmaraş. Heavily eroded by natural causes, it was carved into a smoothed rock face about 2.70 metres above the ground; the name of the city of Malatya can be read in its central section.
