Editor's Note
The historic Menekse/Nakkas Stream Bridge stands at the point where the Nakkas Stream joins the Menekse Stream. The three-arched masonry bridge, set parallel along a southeast-northwest axis, measures 14.35 m on the upstream (northeast) side and 14.33 m on the downstream side, with a bridge width of 4.61 m. The bridge's arches are single-centred semicircles. On either side of the large central arch there are small arched openings. The Menekse Bridge dates back to the Roman period, the 4th century AD.
