It was commissioned by Emperor Constantine. The bath took its name because Bezmialem Valide Sultan, the mother of Sultan Abdulmecid, was treated here. The bath consists of women's and men's sections. The main building material is stone, and the interiors are clad in marble. It is a free-standing bath, built on a north-south axis. Because the Ismail stream passes between the undressing section and the rest of the building, it is divided into two parts, connected by crossing bridges. The south facade, which holds the cooling and hot rooms, was kept plain.
